From an internal need to a platform
marble work began with a gap we knew from our own day-to-day work: project time and work hours belonged together, yet were managed in separate tools. That became a calm, cloud-based time tracking product for teams.
Version 2.0 takes the product much further. Today, marble work organises not only time, but also projects, clients, tasks, files, budgets and responsibilities. AI agents work directly inside these processes instead of dropping their results into a separate chat.
Not AI next to project management, but AI inside the actual workflow.
People and agents in one task
A task can contain any number of steps. For each step, the team decides whether an AI agent or a person takes responsibility. This turns isolated prompts into a clear process with visible progress and unambiguous ownership.
When the chain reaches a human step, it pauses and waits for review or approval. If a result needs revision, the process restarts precisely from that step. Earlier versions, files and activity remain available.
Handoffs work in both directions without losing context.
An AI team with context
Each agent gets a role, clear instructions, suitable skills, connected tools and the AI model that fits the job. This creates specialised team members for research, copy, analysis, design or recurring routines.
Shared company knowledge provides the context around products, audiences, voice and processes. What an agent learns through collaboration remains visible, editable and deletable. Valuable insights can be promoted to company knowledge.
With Auto-Start, tasks begin daily, weekly, monthly or at their due date. A competitive report can be researched, analysed and prepared as a PDF automatically in the morning before a person approves it.
A prompt becomes a dependable process.
The operational foundation
Board and list views, projects and clients, tasks and subtasks, comments, files, budgets, hourly rates and access rights: marble work covers the full day-to-day project operation. Agents do not work in an artificial demo environment, but exactly where the team already plans and makes decisions.
Project time can be tracked with a timer or entered manually. Work hours, breaks, leave, sick days and hour accounts are included as well. The “AI versus human” project analysis shows which share agents completed and what remained with the human team.
The same workspace stays available in the browser and through the apps for iOS and Android.
One system for the work, not another tool beside it.
No credit tricks
Organisations connect their own OpenAI or Anthropic accounts. Usage is billed directly by the respective provider, without an artificial credit ceiling or markup from marble work. Each agent can use the model that best fits its task, while requests and token consumption remain transparent.
Connectors let agents access the tools where information and work already live. Credentials are stored encrypted in the vault and are never exposed to agents or the frontend.
The model adapts to the task, not the task to a plan limit.

Product design with intent
The design challenge was larger than a new interface. Task chains, agents, human approvals, knowledge, files and project operations had to come together clearly without making the product feel technical or hectic.
The interface therefore makes ownership, progress, handoffs and result versions visible. At the same time, the visual language remains reduced, spacious and familiar. The new product world continues the design DNA of marbleOne and marble booking while giving marble work a distinct character of its own.
That is how powerful automation avoids feeling like a loss of control.

marble work 2.0 moves AI out of the experiment corner and into real collaboration. Recurring work starts automatically. Agents take on research, analysis and production. People retain approvals, decisions and responsibility.
Because projects, clients, tasks, files and time live in the same system, results do not remain trapped in a chat. They become part of a traceable workflow, from the first task to the finished result.
We did not build a project tool with an AI button. We built a shared workspace for people and agents.
