A Stranger's Journey is a hybrid mobile app developed with Ionic and Capacitor. Thanks to state-of-the-art web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and PHP, the game runs on both iOS and Android – and feels like a true native app.
This architecture also allows ASJ to use native features such as vibration, device information, and push notifications. The latter are a central element of the gaming experience: the OneSignal system sends players timed messages from the story, depending on how far they have progressed in the game.
To ensure secure communication, a Node.js server runs in the background to manage all API requests. No personal data is stored – each device is assigned an anonymous internal ID.
All content and data are installed directly in the app. This means no internet connection is required, maximum data security is ensured, and the game works anywhere. Changes to the story are made via app updates.
Development is currently around 80% complete. After final bug fixes, story division, and adjustments for different displays, the beta release is imminent – the next step toward publication in the App Store and Google Play Store.

Design & Experience
The design of A Stranger's Journey is a journey in itself – a visual calm that leaves room for emotion. Dark surfaces meet softly glowing accents, typography and movement merge to create an atmosphere between dream and reality.
Every element – from icons to color gradients – is handmade and part of a consistent visual language that runs through the app, website, and social media.
The goal: an immersive user experience that not only works but also touches the heart – always with a touch of infinity.
